This year was no exception, as several celebrities opted to wear stunning dresses by Vietnamese designers, adding a touch of elegance and sophistication to the star-studded event.
Actresses Eugenia Kuzmina, Nicole Kang, Alix Angelis Choose Designs by Le Thanh Hoa at Oscar Events
At the red carpet event on March 10th at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, Eugenia Kuzmina wore a purple silk dress by Le Thanh Hoa. The ensemble was crafted from premium chiffon, featuring intricate hand-pleating techniques. The off-shoulder detail was elegantly stylized using draping techniques, creating a sophisticated focal point. This dress has also been worn by Miss Universe Vietnam Luong Thuy Linh and Miss Grand 2022 Isabella Menin.
Eugenia Kuzmina, 36, is an American-Russian actress and model. She has graced the covers of Glamour and participated in advertising campaigns for Hermes, Dior, GAP, L’Oreal, and walked the runway for Yves Saint Laurent, Alexander McQueen, and Thierry Mugler. Saudi Arabian model Model Roz wore a gold fishtail design adorned with zigzag sequins, accented with sequin flower blooms. American model Yovanna Ventura donned a black silk taffeta bustier dress, expertly draped. The skirt portion was intricately structured to create a voluminous silhouette.
Korean-American actress Nicole Kang chose a red mullet-style dress, accentuating the legs with pleated detailing. Actress Nicole Kang opted for a backless ombre-effect dress adorned with bead strings, from the Water Lily collection. Director Ashley Versher wore a mini dress adorned with handcrafted stones on tulle fabric, paired with matching gloves.
Le Thanh Hoa, 38, graduated at the top of his class in fashion design from the Industrial Arts Department, Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture. His collections have been showcased at Beauty Fashion Show, Elle Show, and Vietnam International Fashion Week. Some notable solo shows by the designer include Lam Vu, The Oriental Sun, Another Day, Sa Vu, An, and Shadow.
Over the past year, his designs have been favored by many international celebrities due to intensified digital promotion efforts. Some celebrities who have worn Le Thanh Hoa dresses include Paris Hilton, Heidi Klum and her daughter, Academy Award-winning producer Janet Yang, and “The Little Mermaid” Halle Bailey.
